Alpac Capital removes N1 director Amir Zukić
Amir Zukić has been removed from his position as director of Adria News doo and Adria News BH Production, the companies that publish N1 television in Bosnia and Herzegovina. This leadership change follows the recent takeover of the Adria News Network group by the Portuguese fund Alpac Capital, which previously replaced United Group as the owner.
Zukić, who had led the company for approximately 12.5 years through various ownership changes involving KKR and BC Partners, will be succeeded by Pedro David Vargas and his associates. This move is part of a broader regional restructuring by the new owners. Similar leadership changes have occurred across the network, including the removal of top executives at N1 and Nova in Serbia, N1 in Croatia, and Nova TV in Slovenia.
While Alpac Capital has provided assurances that editorial policies will remain unchanged, media organizations such as the Independent Journalists' Association of Serbia (NUNS) have expressed concern regarding the sudden replacement of key leadership and its potential impact on media quality.
