Alparslan Kuytul and wife arrested in Adana criminal organization probe
Authorities in Adana have launched a major investigation into the Alparslan Kuytul criminal organization, commonly known as the Kuytulcular. Following simultaneous operations across 49 addresses in six provinces, Alparslan Kuytul and his wife, Semra Kuytul, were arrested. A total of 56 suspects were detained, with 44 facing requests for arrest on charges including establishing a criminal organization, money laundering, fraud, and tax evasion.
Police reports revealed that the organization maintained a sophisticated hierarchical structure with specialized departments for education, social media, logistics, and finance. Investigators discovered that the group's administrative building utilized encrypted door systems. During the raids, evidence tampering was noted, as some suspects reportedly removed computer towers and hard disks to destroy potential organizational documents.
Evidence from the CİMER system indicates that approximately 6,000 reports and applications were filed regarding the group between 2024 and 2026. These reports detailed the group's internal organization, financial activities, and alleged exploitation of religious sentiments for fundraising. Furthermore, investigators identified links between several high-level members and individuals previously processed in connection with FETÖ/PDY, with 24 such names identified in the contact records of nine suspects.
