Alpe di Raiding-Ravasco hosts Creation Path art installations
The Creation Path, a 3.5-kilometer trail through the pastures and forests of Alpe di Raiding-Ravasco in South Tyrol, features eight artistic installations. These works, created by nine different artists, interpret the seven days of Creation from the Book of Genesis through various sculptures and installations.
The path begins at the Zumis parking lot at an altitude of 1,740 meters and ends at the Pianer Kreuz chapel at approximately 1,900 meters. The installations follow the biblical narrative, ranging from the separation of light and darkness to the emergence of life on Earth. The final installation is an artistic bench located at the chapel, dedicated to the seventh day of rest.
Participating artists include Matthias Kostner, Mirco Pitscheider, Filip Moroder Doss, Rita Pöll, Thomas Comploi, Silvia De Giorgi, Giovanni Demetz, Judith Röck, and Hanna Pittschieler. The trail involves a 160-meter elevation gain and takes approximately one and a half hours to walk one way.
