Alpecin-Premier Tech adds Garcia Cortina, Van Uden and Mihkels for 2027 season
Alpecin‑Premier Tech announced three new signings for the 2027 season. Spanish rider Iván García Cortina leaves Movistar to join the Belgian squad, bringing experience in one‑day classics such as the Tour of Flanders and Paris‑Roubaix. Dutch sprinter Casper van Uden, a stage winner in the Giro d’Italia, transfers from Team Picnic PostNL and signs a contract through 2029 to bolster the team’s sprint train. Estonian rider Madis Mihkels, formerly with EF Education‑EasyPost, joins as a fast‑finishing rider capable of supporting sprint leader Jasper Philipsen.
The additions are aimed at strengthening the classics core and the sprint train that support team leaders Mathieu van der Poel and Jasper Philipsen. Alpecin‑Premier Tech currently fields 22 riders and is also looking to extend the contract of Tibor Del Grosso beyond 2027.
