Alpha Bank announces new corporate identity and campus development
Alpha Bank is preparing to launch a new corporate identity in 2026, centered around a redesigned logo inspired by the silver stater of Aegina. This ancient Greek coin, which dates back approximately 2,600 years, has been a symbol for the institution since 1972, when it was first adopted by the former Bank of Credit.
The bank’s history traces back to 1879 with the establishment of the I. F. Kostopoulos Commercial House in Kalamata. Over the decades, the institution underwent several name changes, including the Bank of Kalamata and the Bank of Greek Commercial Credit, before evolving into its current form.
In conjunction with the rebranding, the bank is developing the Alpha Bank Campus in central Athens. Located within the block bounded by Stadiou, Panepistimiou, Korai, and Pesmazoglou streets, the campus will integrate historical and modern buildings to support contemporary banking operations while preserving the architectural heritage of the city.
