Alpha Bank highlights ESG milestones and social initiatives

Alpha Bank has reported its major initiatives for August, highlighting achievements in sustainable development, education, social inclusion, sports, and culture. A key milestone is the bank’s tenth consecutive year of inclusion in the FTSE4Good Index Series, following an independent assessment of its environmental, social, and governance (ESG) practices. The bank notes that this inclusion enhances its visibility within the international investment community.

In the field of sports, the bank highlighted the successes of Greek rowing, for which it serves as a major sponsor. Notable achievements include Petros Gaidatzis winning gold at the World Rowing Championships in Amsterdam, and the Greek National Rowing Team winning ten medals at the 20th Mediterranean Games in Taranto.

Regarding education, the bank is participating in the ‘Marietta Giannakou’ program. Through the completion of the second phase of this initiative, 670 public schools across Greece will have undergone renovations and upgrades.
