Alpha Camara sentenced to six months for school theft in Conakry
The Dixinn Court of First Instance in Conakry has sentenced Alpha Camara to six months of firm imprisonment for aggravated theft at a local school.
Camara was accused of stealing a 32-inch flat-screen television, a wheelchair, and various electrical installations. During the proceedings on September 28, 2026, the defendant initially denied the charges but later partially admitted to taking electrical wires from a classroom and the ceiling.
The prosecution argued that Camara was caught in flagrante delicto and had used bladed weapons to strip the electrical wiring. While the defendant claimed he had simply wandered into the school and fallen asleep, the judge cited photographic evidence suggesting he had scaled the school wall to gain entry. The court ultimately found him guilty of the charges brought against him.
