Alpha courses launching in Dordrecht and Sliedrecht

New Alpha courses, designed as an introduction to the Christian faith, are commencing in the Dordrecht and Sliedrecht regions. The program offers a space for individuals to explore questions regarding Jesus, prayer, and the meaning of life through interactive sessions.

In Sliedrecht, a free and non-binding course is scheduled to begin on September 22, 2026, at Vier in de Buurt. The program consists of fourteen meetings, each beginning with a shared meal followed by discussions in small groups. The Alpha initiative is a global program that has been attended by over 25 million people across 169 countries.

In Dordrecht, the program is supported by Missie Dordt. Local participants have highlighted the collaborative nature of the various churches involved in the initiative. The courses emphasize an environment where participants can express doubt and ask critical questions without the requirement of prior belief.
