Alpha School implements AI-driven personalized tutoring in the US

Alpha School in the United States is utilizing artificial intelligence to provide personalized tutoring for its students. The educational model combines AI-enabled adaptive learning with mastery learning and time management techniques, such as the Pomodoro technique. This approach allows students to master core subjects in approximately two hours per day.

By automating basic instruction, the school frees up the remainder of the day for students to focus on critical thinking, human skills, and experiential learning. These activities include workshops in entrepreneurship, programming, communication, and outdoor education. Teachers at the institution serve as mentors and guides rather than primary lecturers.

According to the school, students are progressing an average of 2.6 times faster on national standardized tests compared to their peers, with most exceeding national averages. Alpha School currently operates campuses in Austin, Brownsville, and Miami, with plans to expand to five additional locations.
