Alpha Wave Global exits Aye Finance and sells Lenskart stake
Global investment firm Alpha Wave Global has executed significant stake sales in two Indian companies, Aye Finance and Lenskart Solutions.
In a series of bulk deals, Alpha Wave India I exited its entire 7.56% stake in MSME-focused NBFC Aye Finance. The firm sold approximately 1.92 crore shares for a total of roughly ₹322.6 crore. Buyers included Integrated Core Strategies (Asia), an associate of Millennium Management, and Singularity AMC’s Singularity Large Value Fund III.
Separately, Alpha Wave Global divested a 1.69% stake in eyewear retailer Lenskart Solutions through open market transactions. The sale of approximately 2.95 crore shares was valued at ₹1,856.78 crore, with shares sold at an average price of ₹630 each. The transaction involved a diverse group of domestic and foreign institutional investors, including mutual funds managed by ICICI Prudential, SBI, and Kotak Mahindra, as well as entities such as Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and the Kuwait Investment Authority.
