AlphaToken launches regulated gold token XAUa on Sui

Hong Kong-licensed issuer AlphaToken has deployed XAUa, a tokenized gold product, on the Sui network. This marks the first regulated tokenized gold product built under Sui’s Permissioned Asset Standard (PAS), which embeds compliance directly into a token’s transfer logic by requiring transfers to pass policy validation before settlement.

Each XAUa token represents one gram of physical gold with 99.99% purity and LBMA certification. The physical bullion is held in audited Hong Kong depositories under the custody of Brinks. To ensure regulatory compliance, investors must hold KYC-verified credentials to mint tokens or settle trades on the secondary market. TBook manages the on-chain distribution through its vault architecture, which has been rebuilt on the PAS framework.

The launch of this real-world asset (RWA) comes as the Sui network seeks to expand its ecosystem, even as the native SUI token faces market volatility and selling pressure.
