Alphaville to headline 52nd Augsburger Presseball

The German synth-pop band Alphaville has been announced as the main act for the 52nd Augsburger Presseball. The event, a benefit gala hosted by Alexandra Holland, will feature the theme ‘Black Is Beautiful’.

Formed in 1984, the band is recognized for international hits such as ‘Big in Japan’, ‘Sounds like a Melody’, and ‘Forever Young’. Led by Marian Gold, the group has maintained a presence in the music industry for over 40 years, with their 2022 album ‘Eternally Yours’ reaching number two on the German charts.
