Alpina launches Turbo Air V self-tinting sports eyewear

Alpina has launched the Turbo Air V, a rimless sports eyewear designed for mountain biking, road cycling, running, and cross-country skiing. The glasses weigh 27 grams and feature a frame made from bio-based polyamide (TR 90).

A central feature is the Varioflex lens technology, which automatically adjusts its tint based on ambient light conditions. The lenses transition through categories S0 to S3, ranging from nearly clear for low-light environments to heavily tinted for bright sunlight, eliminating the need for manual lens changes during rides.

Additional technical specifications include Fogstop coating to prevent fogging, a hydrophobic surface to repel water and dirt, and a 45-degree angled lens cut to improve airflow. For fit and stability, the glasses include a cold-formable nose bridge and rubberized temple ends. The product is available in Black-Silver matte and White-Black with a width of 140 mm, retailing at a suggested price of €159.95.
