Alpine regions host autumn cultural and tourism events

Various regions in the Alps are hosting seasonal cultural and tourism events during the autumn months.

In the Maritime Alps, September 2026 will feature a series of religious and traditional celebrations. Key events include the feast of Santa Rosalia in Tourrette-Levens on September 4, the Maurion pilgrimage in Saorge on September 5, and celebrations for Notre-Dame de la Nativité in Beaulieu-sur-Mer. These festivities often include processions, music, and local gastronomy.

In the Dolomites, the ‘Autumn Special’ initiative runs from September 5 to November 1 in areas such as San Vigilio di Marebbe and San Martino in Badia. The program offers various activities across participating accommodations, including falconry demonstrations at Owl Park, stargazing sessions with astronomers, yoga in Mongolian yurts, and guided autumn hikes to observe the seasonal foliage.
