Alpine Ski World Cup season preparations and athlete predictions

As the new Alpine Ski World Cup season approaches, experts and athletes are discussing expectations and schedule changes. Former skiers Tina Weirather and Beat Feuz have shared various predictions for the upcoming season, including hopes for Swiss athletes like Camille Rast and Corinne Suter. Weirather specifically highlighted the potential for Emma Aicher to win the overall slalom crystal globe and predicted Corinne Suter could secure the downhill title.

In Austria, veteran skier Cornelia Hütter expressed disappointment regarding the women's racing schedule. While the men's circuit includes several speed events in Austria, such as those in Kitzbühel and Saalbach-Hinterglemm, the women's schedule in locations like Sölden, Gurgl, Gosau, and Flachau is limited exclusively to technical races. Hütter, who is competing in her farewell season, noted the absence of home speed races for the women's circuit.
