Alpine Youth Workshops Expand Across Austria and Italy
From mid‑July to early September, the Summer UNI Osttirol runs in Austria, organized by Innos GmbH, the Museum Aguntum, the House of Water, Natopia, the Osttirol Cultural Network and the Young University of Innsbruck. Open to children and teenagers aged six to 18, the program offers workshops and excursions that let participants explore water phenomena, Roman history, the Stone Age and program industrial robots, with the aim of sparking early interest in science, technology, engineering and mathematics.
In the neighbouring Italian region of South Tyrol, the regional youth office launched a youth culture programme for autumn 2025 and spring 2026. Around 700 teenagers attended 64 workshops hosted in towns such as Martell, Meran, Eppan and Brixen. The sessions covered self‑defence, magic, graffiti, cooking, game design, macramé, natural cosmetics, healthy snacks and theatre, seeking to enrich participants culturally, creatively and socially while helping them discover new interests and values.
