Alpini groups hold anniversary and headquarters ceremonies in Italy

Various Alpini groups in Italy recently held commemorative events and ceremonies. In Cocconato, the Gruppo Alpini celebrated its 70th anniversary with a weekend of festivities. The program included a theatrical performance titled ‘Nessuno resti indietro’, which focused on the Battle of Nikolajewka, and a series of ceremonies involving flag raising, monument honors, and religious services to remember fallen members and historical leaders.

In Castagnaro, the Alpini of Castagnaro and Menà officially regained access to their historic headquarters after an eighteen-month closure. The handover ceremony, led by Mayor Jonathan Modenese, included a mass at the local parish church and a procession through the town. The event concluded with a ribbon-cutting ceremony at the headquarters, marking the return of the group to their community hub.
