Alps Azumino National Government Park announces Relay Marathon 2026

The Alps Azumino National Government Park (Omachi and Matsukawa districts) is recruiting teams for the 13th annual Relay Marathon 2026. The event is scheduled to take place on September 27, 2026, at the Alps Plaza.

Participants will run a relay format to complete a total distance of 42.195 km using a 1.5 km loop course. The event is designed to accommodate various skill levels, allowing runners to rotate in and out based on their physical ability. Registration for the 150 available team slots closes on September 7, 2026.

In addition to competitive running, the event includes awards for categories such as the ‘Pitari Award’ for teams closest to a set time and a ‘Special Award’ for teams participating in costumes or cosplay.
