Alps Move festival brings contemporary dance to Bolzano

The Alps Move festival is returning to Bolzano on October 22 at the Teatro Comunale di Gries. The event features four contemporary dance productions by choreographers and dancers who originated in South Tyrol and have since established professional careers internationally.

The program includes Margherita Dello Sbarba, a Brussels-based choreographer with her company Uncanny Paradise, who will present ‘To Thread The Salty Deep’. Her performance utilizes the mermaid myth to explore the cultural construction and perception of the female body. The festival aims to bring international choreographic research back to the local territory, fostering a dialogue between different artistic languages and the public.
