Alptürk Enginyurt linked to Ankara venue in money laundering probe

An investigation by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office into money laundering has revealed new details regarding the commercial activities of Alptürk Enginyurt. Documents, including trade registry records and police files, indicate that the entertainment venue ‘Öküz Roof’ in Ankara's Optimum Shopping Mall is operated by ARN 06 Turizm Gıda Taşımacılık Sanayi Ticaret Limited Şirketi.

Trade registry records show that Alptürk Enginyurt became a partner in the company through a share transfer on August 4, 2023, alongside Murat Ertaş and Muhammed Kürşad Şahin. Alptürk Enginyurt has reportedly admitted to this commercial connection in his statement to the prosecutor's office.

The findings highlight a discrepancy in social media posts made by Cemal Enginyurt. In July 2023, he publicly congratulated Murat Ertaş on the new business, referring to it only as a brother's new establishment, while his son was secretly a partner in the operating company.
