Alptürk Enginyurt placed under judicial control in laundering probe
Alptürk Enginyurt, son of Yeni Parti Istanbul MP Cemal Enginyurt, has been placed under judicial control following an investigation by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. The investigation involves allegations of “disturbing public health” and “laundering assets derived from crime.”
Authorities allege that the Red GYM sports center in Ankara was used for the unregistered sale of protein powders, performance enhancers, and other prohibited substances. Additionally, investigators are looking into claims that parliamentary vehicles assigned to Cemal Enginyurt were used for these illicit shipments.
A financial report from MASAK revealed significant increases in Alptürk Enginyurt’s bank activity, with total inflows and outflows reaching approximately 25 million TL in 2025 alone. The report highlighted a mutual transfer of roughly 18.9 million TL between father and son. Witnesses also claimed that Alptürk operated an entertainment venue called “Öküz” in Ankara despite allegedly lacking the personal economic means to do so.
