Alrix Da Costa joins Hull FC in swap with Catalans Dragons

Hull FC has officially signed French international hooker Alrix Da Costa for the 2027 season. The move is part of a player swap with Catalans Dragons, who have signed Amir Bourouh on a two-year contract through the end of the 2028 campaign.

Da Costa joins Hull FC after spending over a decade with the Catalans Dragons, where he made more than 160 senior appearances and earned 15 international caps for France. He will reunite with his former coach, Steve McNamara, in East Yorkshire. Da Costa is the third major recruit for Hull FC’s 2027 season, joining fullback Bailey Hodgson and Daly Cherry-Evans.

Additionally, Hull FC confirmed that Denive Balmforth will return to the squad next season following a loan spell at York Knights.
