ALRO secures $260 million syndicated loan coordinated by BCR

ALRO SA, a major Romanian exporter and one of Europe’s largest vertically integrated aluminum producers, has secured a $260 million syndicated credit facility. The financing, coordinated by Banca Comercială Română (BCR), is structured as revolving facilities.

The funds are intended to refinance existing debt and provide working capital to support the company’s operational flexibility. ALRO leadership noted that the financing arrives as the European aluminum industry faces significant challenges, allowing the company to focus on high value-added products, operational efficiency, and strategic investments.

The banking syndicate includes BCR as the coordinator, Mandated Lead Arranger, and Bookrunner, alongside Exim Bank Romania, CEC Bank, Banca Transilvania, Raiffeisen Bank, and Intesa Sanpaolo Bank Romania. Legal advisory services were provided by NNDKP and White & Case.
