Alsa increases Ibiza driver workforce to 350 amid rising passenger demand
Alsa has increased its driver workforce in Ibiza to 350 professionals to manage a significant surge in passenger demand. Since assuming service operations on April 1, the company has hired 50 more drivers than originally planned to accommodate the tourist season.
Data from the Consell de Ibiza indicates that between April and August, there were 4,958,831 trips, approximately one million more than the same period last year. August saw a peak of 1,251,534 travelers, representing a 40.2% increase compared to August 2025.
To support this expansion, Alsa has invested over 500,000 euros in technical training and has managed the rental of 270 rooms across 90 properties to provide housing for operational staff. Additionally, the company has updated its fleet with 70 new buses, including 34 electric and 36 hybrid models.
