Alsa reports 8% revenue increase in second quarter

Alsa reported an 8% increase in revenue during the second quarter of the year, covering its operations in Spain and international markets including Morocco, Switzerland, Portugal, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, and the United Kingdom.

If activity in the United Kingdom were excluded—where the company is gradually assuming bus management for its British parent company, Mobicorevenue growth would have reached 13.7%. The UK segment has been a point of difficulty for the business.

Specific segment performance included: • Long-distance lines: 7% revenue increase and a 4.2% increase in profitability. • Regional buses: 10.5% revenue increase, driven by a 14.3% rise in passenger volume for demand-risk contracts. • Urban lines: 6.4% revenue increase and a 10.8% increase in passengers.

International revenue grew by 21.3%, helping to offset a planned reduction in presence in Morocco by late 2025 and a 16.7% reduction in the United Kingdom.
