Alsace highlights local craftsmanship and social initiatives
The Artisan d’Alsace brand, launched in 2022 by the Chambre de métiers d’Alsace (CMA), is hosting its first trade fair in Sélestat from September 25 to 27. The label currently represents approximately 430 professionals across 97 different trades, aiming to promote local expertise, innovation, and authenticity. The upcoming event will feature between 60 and 70 exhibitors and include conferences on topics such as apprenticeship, energy transition, and innovation.
In separate regional news, three Alsatian initiatives have been selected as “Pépites” by the Fondation de France for 2026. These recognized projects include the Strasbourg-based association “Toi-même tu parles,” which promotes public speaking to aid social integration; the “Ila” application, a digital tool designed to support women victims of domestic violence; and the “Samu de l’environnement,” which monitors environmental pollution in water and soil.
