The Alsace region in France offers various cultural and historical sites for visitors, including the village of Sigolsheim and the Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg.
Sigolsheim is a wine-growing village featuring a short heritage walking route. The path includes landmarks such as the Sainte-Anne Chapel, the Church of Saint-Pierre and Saint-Paul, and several wayside crosses and calvaries. The route provides views of the Vosges and the Alsace plain.
Located in Orschwiller between Strasbourg and Colmar, the Château du Haut-Koenigsbourg is a medieval fortress situated at an altitude of 757 meters. The site features towers, walls, and a drawbridge, offering panoramas of the Vosges, the Black Forest, and occasionally the Alps. The castle is open year-round, except for December 25, December 26, and January 1.
