Alsfeld police facility officially inaugurated

A new police facility in Alsfeld, located on Liederbacher Straße, was officially inaugurated on Saturday. The event, held under the theme ‘Day of Respect,’ included an open house where citizens could tour the modern building and interact with police officers and other emergency services.

The facility has been housing the Alsfeld police station and the Vogelsberg Regional Criminal Investigation Department since April. The new infrastructure features modern office and technical rooms, specialized interrogation rooms, a contemporary duty area, and updated detention facilities designed to improve operational capabilities and regional security.

Hessian Interior Minister Roman Poseck attended the symbolic key handover, stating that the investment provides modern working conditions and a strong security architecture for the Vogelsberg region. Police President Michael Tegethoff also noted the building as a significant milestone for the East Hesse Police Headquarters.
