Alstom delivers 18 Traxx locomotives to CLIP Intermodal

Alstom has delivered 18 third-generation Traxx Universal locomotives to CLIP Intermodal to enhance cross-border rail freight operations across Europe. The locomotives, manufactured at Alstom’s facility in Wrocław, can reach speeds of up to 160 km/h and feature modular designs compatible with AC, DC, and multi-system configurations.

The delivery is divided into two contractual groups. Thirteen units are approved for operation in Poland, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, and France. The remaining five units are configured for service in Poland, Germany, Austria, Czechia, Slovakia, and Hungary.

To ensure operational efficiency, the agreement includes a two-year preventive maintenance program. The locomotives are equipped with Alstom’s Onvia Cab European Train Control System (ETCS), ensuring compliance with European safety and signaling standards for seamless multinational logistics.
