Alta Floresta launches hearing aid drive for 200 patients

The City Hall of Alta Floresta, through the Municipal Health Secretariat, is conducting a specialized drive to provide Individual Sound Amplification Devices (AASI) on October 19 and 20. The initiative aims to serve approximately 200 patients with hearing impairments from Alta Floresta and the Alto Tapajós region, many of whom have been waiting years for the procedure.

The action is taking place at the Specialized Rehabilitation Center (CER) and features the participation of two specialist speech therapists from São Paulo alongside local professionals. The program is designed to improve communication, autonomy, and social interaction for those affected by hearing loss, facilitating better integration into family and community life.
