Alta Grupa: Davor Macura denied entry to Montenegro
Alta Grupa has issued a statement regarding the denial of entry to its owner, Serbian businessman Davor Macura, at Podgorica Airport on October 14, 2026. Macura had arrived in Montenegro for business activities related to the group's regional operations.
According to the company, border police verbally informed Macura that he was not permitted to enter the country and subsequently returned him to Belgrade on the same day. Alta Grupa claims that no formal written decision regarding the ban has been delivered to Macura or the company. Instead, they were only provided with a police report stating that a decision had been made and would be “subsequently delivered.”
The report cited in the statement refers to the protection of “national, internal security or public health” but lacks specific reasoning, factual basis, or evidence. Alta Grupa stated they are currently requesting the formal decision and its explanation from the relevant Montenegrin authorities and intend to use all available legal remedies within the prescribed timeframes.
