Alta Val Taro and Val Ceno host autumn forest festivals

The Alta Val Taro and Val Ceno regions in Italy are hosting a series of autumn festivals from September to November, focusing on local forest products such as mushrooms, truffles, and chestnuts.

Borgotaro will host the 51st edition of the Fungo di Borgotaro I.G.P. Fair on September 19-20 and 26-27, 2026. The event celebrates the Boletus di Borgotaro, a spontaneous mushroom species with European protection status. Following this, Albareto will hold the 29th National Porcini Mushroom Fair from October 2-4, 2026, featuring mycological exhibitions and local culinary events.
