Altadena completes 3D-concrete printing for first LA County 3D-printed home
Construction teams have reached a major milestone in Altadena, California, with the completion of the 3D-concrete printing phase for the first approved 3D-printed home in Los Angeles County.
Led by PCI Builders and RIC Robotics, the project is rebuilding a residence lost during the Eaton Fire. The home utilizes a 3D-printed concrete wall system as an alternative to traditional wood-framed construction. The project also aims to incorporate waterless, sound-based fire-suppression technology to increase resilience against future wildfire risks.
