Altarik IV wins second Copa Ubago regatta in Gibraltar Strait

The Altarik IV and Aqua 44 emerged as winners of the second Copa Ubago, a coastal sailing regatta organized by the Real Club Náutico de La Línea de la Concepción. The event took place on October 24 in the waters of the Strait of Gibraltar, covering a course of approximately 35 nautical miles.

In the ORC full crew category, Altarik IV, owned by José Luis Pérez Navarro of the Club Náutico Saladillo de Algeciras, secured the absolute victory by navigating difficult meteorological conditions and strong currents. In the Reduced category, the Aqua 44, owned by Francisco López from Gibraltar, took first place after maintaining efficient navigation through wind and current challenges.

The regatta brought together approximately 80 sailors from mainland Spain, Gibraltar, and Ceuta.
