Altera showcases advanced event design at RSVP symposium in Hvar

The luxury event industry is evolving as technology and scenography become integral to entertainment, as demonstrated at the RSVP international symposium held on the island of Hvar. Entrepreneur Ivana Škrlec and her company, Altera, partnered with the symposium to implement complex design concepts.

Creative direction and event design were led by Maja Starek of Showroom design and events. One highlight included a Nikola Tesla-inspired evening featuring custom-made metal table constructions that integrated water, smoke, and light effects. The concept utilized Tesla coils to create electrical discharges synchronized with music, turning scientific innovation into an active part of the atmosphere.

Another event focused on Hvar's traditional agave lace, utilizing custom chair covers and luxurious drapery to transform the space. The celebrations also highlighted Croatian innovation by featuring the Rimac Nevera electric hypercar and wines from the Puhelek Purek winery, blending local tradition with modern excellence.
