Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt unveils redesigned spa at Tegernsee
The Althoff Seehotel Überfahrt has completed a full redesign of its spa facilities, launching the ‘4 elements spa by Althoff’ at the beginning of August. Developed by Elke Diefenbach-Althoff, the concept is based on the four elements of earth, water, air, and fire, which are reflected in the spa’s architecture, materials, and rituals.
The redesigned area features expanded offerings across four distinct worlds: water, heat, rest, and movement. The water section includes a 28-meter indoor pool, a hot pool, and a heated outdoor pool, with direct access to Lake Tegernsee via a private beach and sunbathing lawn. The heat section offers a Finnish sauna with experiential infusions, a bio-clay sauna, a herbal sauna, and a steam bath.
To promote relaxation, the facility includes a Silence Lounge, additional relaxation rooms, and private poolside cabanas. The interior design utilizes natural materials and Italian fabrics, aiming for a modern gallery aesthetic that maintains warmth and integrates the surrounding natural landscape through large sightlines.
