Altice France unions sue management over SFR sale

Labor unions at Altice France have launched legal action against the group's management to demand transparency regarding the sale of SFR to its competitors: Bouygues Telecom, Orange, and Free. The unions are seeking access to documents and information related to the €20.35 billion divestment project to better understand its impact on the workforce.

Staff representatives have expressed significant concerns over job security for SFR's approximately 8,000 employees. While the buyers have pledged to guarantee employment until early 2029, unions argue that the current redeployment plan is insufficient. Specifically, they are demanding three job offers per employee—one from each buyer—rather than the single offer currently proposed.

In response to the perceived lack of guarantees, unions including the CFDT, CFTC, and Unsa have called for a strike on the afternoon of September 24. The industrial action aims to exert pressure during upcoming negotiations scheduled for late September.
