Altmärkisches Museum Stendal displays historical wood carvings

The Altmärkisches Museum Stendal holds several historical wood carvings, including a linden wood sculpture of Anna Selbdritt. This piece, which depicts Anna holding the crowned Maria, likely originated from an altar retable in the Bülitzer Church.

The museum also features a large oak carving of a standing knight. The figure, which wears a crown and a tassel mantle over plate armor, originated from a church in Jarchau. The sculpture stands 142 cm tall and shows signs of age, including a large crack and damage to the face and base.
