Altınordu Municipality renovates 22 parks through Park Operation project

Altınordu Municipality has completed the total renovation of 22 parks as part of its Park Operation initiative. The project was launched after technical inspections identified 70 playgrounds that had reached the end of their service life and posed safety risks to children.

Coordinated by the Directorate of Parks and Gardens, the works include replacing worn rubber flooring, repairing or replacing hazardous play equipment and sports tools, and installing new wooden seating. Recent completions include the Akyazı 776. Sokak Children's Park, Selimiye Şehit Cemil Tanrıver Park, and several others in the Şahincili neighborhood.

Mayor Ulaş Tepe stated that the goal is to transform these areas into modern social spaces where families can spend time safely. The municipality plans to continue the renovation process for the remaining 48 parks according to the established schedule.
