Alto Tietê International Education Forum begins
The 7th International Education Forum of the Alto Tietê Municipalities has commenced, bringing together over 5,000 education professionals from 14 participating municipalities. The event, organized by the municipalities' education secretariats and promoted by the Consortium for the Development of the Alto Tietê Municipalities and Region (CONDEMAT+), aims to strengthen regional integration and exchange educational projects.
Running throughout September, the forum consists of five online sessions held on Wednesdays. The discussions focus on the current challenges of public schooling, including special and inclusive education, full-time integral education, school violence, ethnic-racial relations, and the future of public schools.
The forum features experts from institutions such as the University of São Paulo (USP), the University of Campinas (Unicamp), the Pontifical Catholic University of Rio de Janeiro (PUC-Rio), the Fluminense Federal University (UFF), and the National Council of Education (CNE). The event is supported by UNESCO.
