Alto Tirreno ports receive €1.5 million training fund

The Management Committee of the Northern Tyrrhenian Sea Port Authority (ADSP‑MTS) approved a €1.5 million operational plan for 2026‑2028 to fund professional training in the ports under its jurisdiction. The program provides €500 000 per year, financed from Article 17 funds of the 1994 Port Law, and aims to raise and diversify workers’ skills in digitalisation, circular economy, team‑building, plant efficiency, occupational safety and technical‑port language.

Port Authority President Davide Gariglio said the initiative is designed to “invest in the head and value of our workers, because their competences determine the true transition and global competitiveness of our terminals.” The plan was presented at the committee meeting that also marked the debut of new Secretary‑General Pierpaolo Danieli.
