Altrincham defeats Forest Green Rovers with stoppage-time winner

Altrincham secured a 2-1 victory against Forest Green Rovers at The New Lawn, marking the third consecutive defeat for the home side.

After a scoreless first half, Jimmy Knowles opened the scoring for Altrincham in the 54th minute. Forest Green responded almost immediately, with captain Kyle McAllister equalizing just 60 seconds later. However, Altrincham clinched the win in the fifth minute of stoppage time when substitute Kahrel Reddin tapped in a cross from Sam Taylor.

Forest Green manager Robbie Savage expressed devastation following the loss, noting that while his team dominated possession and created numerous chances, they were punished for their inability to hold the result. Savage highlighted the exhaustion of his players following a recent Friday fixture but praised the effort and support from the fans.
