Altroconsumo releases top rankings for Nespresso-compatible capsules and coffee machines

Altroconsumo conducted laboratory and taste‑panel tests on coffee capsules compatible with Nespresso machines. The cheapest option, Coop Espresso Classico, earned first place at a price of 22 cents per capsule, outperforming L'Or Espresso Ristretto and Segafredo Zanetti. The evaluation also considered material quality, coffee extraction, contaminant levels and environmental impact of packaging.

In a separate study of coffee makers, Altroconsumo ranked brands based on test results, reliability and user satisfaction. De'Longhi topped both the automatic coffee‑machine category and the capsule‑machine segment, with Krups in second place and Philips third in the capsule segment. The rankings were compiled from performance scores, durability indices and consumer feedback.

Both reports aim to guide consumers toward affordable, high‑quality coffee products while highlighting the importance of environmental considerations.
