AlUla agricultural investment opportunities highlighted by Madinah Chamber
The Madinah Chamber of Commerce has highlighted significant investment opportunities within the agricultural value chains of AlUla. The initiative aims to transform the region's abundant crop production into high-value added products, supporting economic diversification in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
AlUla's agricultural assets include approximately 405,000 citrus trees producing 14,000 tons annually, 78,000 Arabian balsam and Bergamia trees producing 194 tons, and 216,000 summer fruit trees yielding 4,900 tons per year. Additionally, 3,000 beehives produce roughly 12 tons of honey annually.
Key investment sectors identified include advanced food and manufacturing industries, cooling and storage facilities, and agricultural logistics. The report also emphasizes opportunities in agritourism, such as rural inns, harvest tours, and honey trail experiences, alongside international branding, export development, and quality certification.
