Aluminé hosts traditional empanada competition
The town of Aluminé is hosting a competition to find the best empanada as part of its 111th anniversary celebrations. Participants must adhere to strict traditional standards, including using homemade dough, hand-cut meat, and hand-folded edges.
The initial evaluation phase will take place on October 19 and 20 at the Visitor Center, where a jury will conduct anonymous blind tastings of seven empanadas per participant. The top three scorers will advance to a live final on October 24 at the Municipal Sports Center, where finalists will prepare their empanadas in front of the public and the judges.
