Alumni celebrate milestone anniversaries at schools in Colombia and Spain

Various educational institutions recently hosted anniversary celebrations for their alumni.

In Sogamoso, Colombia, twenty-four former students from the 1976 class of Colegio de Sugamuxi gathered on September 5, 2026, to mark 50 years since completing their secondary studies. The commemoration included a mass at the school's grotto, the placement of a laurel wreath on the bust of teacher Félix María Segura Medina, and the installation of a commemorative plaque. The event was attended by former students, their spouses, and former teachers Luis María Carreño and Gerardo Niño Gamboa.

In Gijón, Spain, approximately 60 alumni from the 2000-2001 class of Colegio Corazón de María (Codema) celebrated their 25th anniversary. The gathering featured a tour of the school facilities, a speech by current director Aitor Castaño, and a mass officiated by Father Arturo Muiño. Participants received insignia featuring the school and alumni association emblems before attending a communal meal.
