Fulham manager Álvaro Arbeloa faces pressure amid poor start

Fulham manager Álvaro Arbeloa is facing significant pressure as the club sits at the bottom of the Premier League table with only two points from six matches. Following a string of results including a recent loss to Ipswich Town, reports suggest growing unrest within the dressing room regarding Arbeloa’s tactical approach and recent transfer decisions.

Arbeloa, who replaced Marco Silva this summer on a three-year contract, has addressed rumors regarding his job security. During a press conference ahead of the upcoming match against Hull City, he stated that his focus remains on the club, the players, and the supporters rather than his own future. He emphasized the need for his squad to maintain their level of play for the full 90 minutes and to believe in the team’s established style of play.

Fulham’s recent struggles have been characterized by defensive vulnerabilities, specifically conceding goals in the final 15 minutes of several matches. The upcoming fixtures against Hull City and Coventry City are viewed as decisive moments for Arbeloa’s continued tenure.
