Alwar child trapped in 55-foot deep borewell during rescue operation

A child fell into an open borewell in Bhutoli village, located in the Ramgarh area of Alwar district, Rajasthan, on Monday evening. The boy, identified as Bhanu, was running through a field to retrieve a kite when he stepped on a displaced stone covering an old, abandoned borewell.

The child is currently trapped at a depth of approximately 50 to 55 feet in a borewell that is reported to be 400 feet deep. Early reports indicate the child is safe, as his voice can be heard from within the shaft.

Local authorities, including police and administrative officials, have arrived at the scene. A rescue operation is underway using two JCB machines to excavate the ground adjacent to the borewell to reach the child. Ramgarh MLA Sukhwant Singh visited the site to oversee the situation and instructed officials to ensure all necessary resources are deployed for a safe rescue.
