Alwar school ceiling collapses in dilapidated building

A portion of a ceiling in the Jodhawas government school in the Thana Gazi area of Alwar, Rajasthan, collapsed. No injuries were reported as students were not in the room at the time of the incident.

The school building had previously been declared dilapidated, yet it had not been demolished by the education department or local administration. Furthermore, the Jodhawas Gram Panchayat office is currently operating out of a room within the same hazardous structure.

Following the incident, students and parents staged a protest, expressing anger over the lack of safety measures. Parents have stated they will not send their children to school until their safety is guaranteed.
