Alwin Prakash Kundar's remains returned to India after Sharjah murder

The remains of Alwin Prakash Kundar, a native of Kundapur who was murdered in Sharjah nearly two months ago, were returned to his hometown in India on Friday. Kundar, who had worked at Sharjah Airport for approximately 14 years, was found dismembered in the boot of his vehicle on August 12. His car was discovered on a road leading toward Oman.

Sharjah Police issued a clarification regarding Kundar’s family, stating that his wife, Tina, and their son were not missing. Contrary to some reports, the police confirmed that the two had left the UAE and returned to their hometown in India, noting that no missing-person reports had been filed for them.

The victim's family had grown suspicious after losing contact with him in late July. While initial communications from his phone suggested he was safe, the family later discovered he had not arrived in India. Following the recovery of the body and DNA confirmation, local representatives in India have pledged to assist the family in seeking justice and tracing the accused.
